2021 [Virtual] National Recycling Congress

Early Bird Registration is open and the Program/Session topics are shaping up to include a wide variety of critical and innovative issues. NRC is pleased to be partnering with the New York State Association of Reduction, Reuse and Recycling (NYSAR³) for the 2021 Congress, November 3-4. The Congress is the premier two-day educational and networking event on policy, nuts & bolts programming, best practices and more, and highlighting a broad range of timely and relevant topics: Recycling is Infrastructure, Climate & Recycling, covering issues of waste prevention, reuse, recycling, composting, market development, buy recycled, equity and diversity, and more, organized by the National Recycling Coalition (NRC). National Zero Waste Virtual Conference |Dec 8-9 2021

The 2021 National Zero Waste Conference, organized by Zero Waste USA in partnership with the NRC will be held on-line on December 8 and 9. Zero Waste Business is the focus on Day 1 and Zero Waste Communities on Day 2. The multi-faceted Program with 100+ Speakers provides introductory content as well as sophisticated analysis. Last year more than 500 attendees took part in the well-received first virtual Zero Waste conference. Many Collaborating Organizations are back including TRUE, the Northern California Recycling Association and Zero Waste International Alliance.

The National Recycling Coalition announces the “Call for Nominations” for the 2021 Awards – with awards presented at the National Recycling Congress, to be held virtually on November 3-4, 2021. The NRC Awards seek to recognize the best of the best in recycling, organics, or reduction.

Spread the word!! Nominate the best programs or individual you know in the following categories (criteria below the awards).

Criteria for Awards 1-8: Impacts on hierarchy / tonnage; longevity; innovativeness / leadership; and (for all but awards 1 & 2) economics / cost-effectiveness.

9. Outstanding Higher Education (College / University) Program

Criteria for Award 9: awarded to a college / university with an exceptional program in recycling or in connecting higher education and industry in the areas of degrees, applied research / tech transfer, career services, and links with recycling and materials management industries.

As in past years, NRC wants to ensure that the State Recycling Organizations are able to attend, learn, network and be an integral part of our conferences. To further that goal, NRC will provide two (2) free registrations for each Affiliated SRO, and one (1) free registration for each Non-Affiliated RO. Learn more by contacting [email protected]
