Manuel Medrano has been in the environmental sustainability field for 20 years focused on municipal waste reduction programs, recycling, organic waste management, hazardous waste management, business development, marketing and education. Manuel holds a bachelor’s degree from San Diego State University in Public Administration, with dual minors in Chicano Studies and Political Science. Manuel belongs to several multi‐agency committees and environmental health cross‐border (U.S./Mexico) working groups. Serves as President of the California Association of Recycling Market Development Zones, is board member of influential organizations like the California Resource Recovery Association and the California Product Stewardship Council, where he was recognized as 2019 Associate of the Year. Manuel is also a member in the Statewide (CA) Commission on Recycling Markets and Curbside Recycling.
