Welcome to the NRC Congress and NYSAR3 35th Annual Conference & Trade Show!
November 19 – 21, 2024
New this year, we are partnering with the New York State Association for Reduction, Recycling, Reuse (NYSAR3), to provide an experience that is filled with tools, information and robust content! The NRC is hosting the National Recycling Congress (Pre-Conference Day) and we are excited and invigorated to be working alongside our New York colleagues to offer another great event! This combined event is being designed by professionals, for professionals of the 3Rs industry, and sponsored by companies leading the way in sustainable materials management and recycling.
- Participate in the NRC National Recycling Congress on Tuesday, November 19th
- Learn what is trending now in the Circular Economy world, Sustainable Materials Management and the 3Rs industry
- Engage with our Exhibitors, ready to provide you with the newest products and updates over three (3) days
- Join us for our Annual Awards Luncheon honoring recipients of the Recycling Leadership Award and the NY Recycles Poster Contest! Listen to hear who our 2024 ReUse Grant Winners are!
- Participate in the NYSAR3 Annual Meeting
- Network among professionals either personally or through the Whova App
Our sessions are engaging, relevant and trending. The Exhibitor Hall will be open for all three days of this event and is filled with selected vendors who support the 3Rs industry and offer specialized knowledge. Evening entertainment is provided for an enjoyable atmosphere and networking. Create a meet-up and meet other like-minded individuals. Relax on the peaceful shores of Otsego Lake in a refined hotel with unparalleled hospitality. Sit back and enjoy the breathtaking views of the countryside. It’s hard to believe it’s work when it all comes together!

Low-waste Event
We are pleased to make this conference as low-waste as possible by providing:
- Paper recycling bins
- Food composting bins
- No plastic silverware
- No plastic cups
- A limited amount of paper agendas and those in large-print will be available at the Registration Table (please inquire)
- Reusable name badges (return at the end of the conference)
We invite you to participate by modeling Zero Waste and bringing:
- Your reusable water bottle or coffee mug for fill-ups
- Your own tote or bag to pick up promo items in the Exhibitor Hall
- A washable cloth napkin to quickly wipe up spills, dry out your coffee mug to put back in your bag, and use when dining instead.
AND
- When eating out, consider ordering smaller meal/portions to reduce food waste, or bring your own reusable take-home container to the restaurant. Ask if the restaurant is opposed to sharing meals.
- Use your phone camera to remember and save displays, business cards, brochures, and more.
- What other ideas to demonstrate and model Zero Waste do you have? Post them on the Whova Community Board.
