NRC Recycling Congress and NYSAR3 35th Annual Conference & Trade Show
November 19 – 21, 2024
Thank you to everyone who attended the Recycling Congress, held in partnership with NYSAR3 in Cooperstown, NY, and a big thank you to the NYSAR conference team!
There were many great presentations that provided a wealth of information and tools. All presentations will be made available for attendees in the coming weeks.
The Recycling Congress started with our welcoming ceremony that included a special presentation from Rick Anthony, telling the story of the History of the NRC.
Our opening plenary was presented by Kristen Hildreth, AVP Government Relations and Strategic Partnerships, ReMA.
We developed a number of learning sessions and presentations including Outreach: Engaging the Next Generation, EPR, Composting, Support for Zero Waste Businesses, Global Policies on Plastics and Climate, and Equitable Funding for Zero Waste.
Our closing plenary was presented by Nena Shaw, Director of the Resource Conservation and Sustainability Division of the US EPA.
The day concluded with the NRC Hosting an evening reception at the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum. It was a great time of networking, socializing and the presentation of the annual Murray J. Fox Scholarship followed by the NRC Awards Ceremony. The evening capped off with a self-guided tour of the National Baseball Hall of Fame Museum.
A great time was had by all. We are looking forward to the next Recycling Congress.
